Attending burning man is as much anarchism as they are comfortable with.

Oh yes, full ack to that bit. Dunno if Crowdfunding is a useful comparison though. Yes, lot's of campaigns fail, but lot's of them also deliver real, tangible products. :)

Agreed. There is also less ponzi/pyramid scheme scams on there :]. I am just not sure yet on the definition of what is worth delivering value.

@podhustlrapp (1) has a concrete web3 plan. When you create a podcast with one of the existing hosting platforms, you hand over your data, essentially your IP. If the provider goes bust, your data are gone. With podhustlr you can store data on-chain on your own address.

(2) if podhustlr goes bust then you can just move over to the next platform. Plus, current podcast monetization schemes are mostly localized scams. There’s no way for EU citizens to get paid by eg Spotify’s anchor. On-chain storage allows for NFTs etc.

I still struggle to understand how this scenario would play out in the real world. on-chain or off-chain, wouldn't I still need all of your source code to be able to "go on"?

Not really. The source code around the data is just an abstraction. The data live in a network far away from what podhustlr (or similar apps) control. The next solution can use all these data by implementing its own abstractions.
