Dear hardware tinkerer fediverse. Everything above that requires negotiation, as far as i know. snaums: @bascht no that should work, but you will probably want a USB-cable and a USB-connector on your board, if you are designing it yourself. Otherwise there are USB to barrel plug cables. Bascht: @tastytea that's what I wanted to hear! Thanks for the quick response 😍 - will give it a try later this week. Bascht: @snaums interesting. the device (a led lamp that attaches to a mirror) currently comes with a barrel plug, but I would probably have to be lucky and find one that matches the diameter and polarity 🙃 snaums: @bascht above a mirror. Why not use a USB-power supply then if it's not meant to be mobile? Or one with a barrel plug xD Bascht: @snaums the mirror is stationery as heck, but it's in that one corner of the room where there's now power socket on either side of the wall - and I don't want to run a 5m extension cord across the room 😁 Bobo_PK 🦄: @bascht depends on the controller. I do have a powerbank that offers power without communicating with the device and one which does not.
